Why do some people who drink a lot become alcoholics, while others don't? Genes and environment both play a big part in it. Children of alcoholics tend more often to become alcoholics themselves because while growing up this activity of drinking becomes part of normal life. The more you drink, the more you want, because of the chemical changes in your brain pathways.
