Can you still develop Hepatitis or HIV later in life?How serious is it to say that you can still develop Hepatitis C or HIV years down the line in life and you are then risking to infect your spouse unknowingly because of this because you recently received a blood transfusion

You can become infected with hiv or hepatitis c at any time in your life if you receive an infected blood transfusion or get infected some other way.

And once you are infected, you can infect someone else via sexual activity or by sharing needles.

However, hiv is more easily sexually transmitted than hepatitis c -which is mostly transmitted via sharing needles these days.
