HEALTH TESTS! What the hell is going on!?!?!? NEED ADVICE!?Hey, I'm an 18 year old male, I have 2 tattoos, one on the inner left forearm (decently big) done by a friend who's becoming a tattooist.. and one on the top right forearm (very small) done by a pro. I got them around 3/4 months ago and the same day I got my second one, my niece got hers right before me. The second one (the bigger one) was done by a friend who used clean, fresh, sterilized needles, gloves, etc.
When I went to the doctor yesterday for a physical I had to get flumist vaccination spray and the meningitis vaccination shot which wasn't bad at all, and for the passed week my friend was saying that my eyes look yellow, I'm a panic freak and hypochondriac so when I went home I had my whole family look at my eyes and check if they're yellow and they all said no (my mom works at an animal hospital and sees jaundice all the time too) we even compared eyes and if anything their eyes look the same as mine, just a tiny little tint of yellow on the sides, my eyes are also blood shot often (I even compared eyes with friends too).
But just to be safe I told my doctor to look at my eyes and she said they have a little tint of yellow on the sides but that's only because I told her to check them. Keep in mind, She Hates Tattoos! so she told me to get a hepatitis C test!! now I'm freaked out. She told me if I had hepatitis C my eyes would look really yellow along with my skin, tongue, etc. but it's only a little tint which from me comparing eyes with 10 people show me that it's obviously normal. When I asked her if she recommended everyone to get a hepatitis C test she said "everyone with tattoos should get one, yes" so is this just because she hates tattoos and to be safe??? the tint of yellow is normal right?? my whole family basically guaranteed me that I don't have hepatitis, my sister (34 years old) was even watching my friend while he did the tattoos and watching that the needles were fresh, clean, sterilized, packaged, etc.
It feels like no matter what, I always have to get another reason to worry and I'm starting to not be able to handle it anymore.. :-(
MY DOCTOR HAS ME FREAKING OUT!!!!!
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
(ps. my doctor also pressed on my stomach during my physical and felt my liver twice to check if it was swollen or inflamed and it was NOT).
When she told me to get the hepatitis C test she also wrote down to get my biliburin, cholesterol, and blood platelet count checked. But isn't that the normal stuff to be checked in a blood test?

yes she is just being overly cautious that is all. I don;t think you have anything to worry about

Take a deep breath and relax. This is normal to panic and worry when waiting for test results. It was an option to get an AIDS test when I was pregnant and I got it just to be sure and protect the health of my baby. After they took the blood and waiting the week for the results I started worrying, "what if" and it was a horrible feeling. But when the test came back it was Neg. and everything was fine. Im sure you will be ok. If your friend took safety precautions than im sure your safe.

If the needles were truly new, then there's no way you could catch anything from them. But, if they were used before, it is possible to catch something if they weren't sterilized. I have one tattoo, but I got it a long time ago, so I don't remember the details of changing needles or anything.
If you have hep C symptoms, you could have gotten it some other way. If you ever have injected drugs, snorted drugs with your friends (cocaine, meth, speed, heroin--basically any drug you can snort). The thing is, when you snort drugs, the straw or bill you use to sniff it up comes in contact with mucus membranes, and if you are sharing that straw with a group of people who use drugs, the odds are one of them has hep C. You could also get it from sharing a razor with someone who has hep C.
You have no reason to worry unless you did drugs, or if they used dirty/old needles. You can ask your friend what needles he used, what the process was--that will clear that up for you. You can also contact the pro who did one of them, and ask about their procedures if that would make you feel comfortable. Then, you already know if you shared drugs with someone, so that answers the rest of your question.
If all that checks out, and nobody has bled on you or into you recently, then you are likely to be A-OK!!
