Is it normal to have elevated liver enzyme levels with mononucleosis 8+ weeks after initial symptoms present?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them

Is it normal to have elevated liver enzyme levels with mononucleosis 8+ weeks after initial symptoms present?Long story short, I was diagnosed with mono on January 27. I have had almost every single symptom associated with this illness since then, even the weird ones like vertigo and eyelid puffiness. Both my spleen and liver were very swollen for the first month. My liver enzyme levels were elevated, though not severely, and showed some improvement in the second blood test I had, 2 weeks after diagnosis. After 4 weeks, my abdomen was no longer sensitive and everything felt fine except for the fatigue.

In the last couple of days, I have been feeling that familiar ache and rumbling in my liver and low grade nausea without the urge to vomit. So my question is, is it normal for the virus to pass in and out of the liver? It's been about 8 weeks since my initial symptoms subsided, and about 4 weeks since my liver problems (as far as I knew) were resolved. Could it be something more serious?

Mono usually involve liver and spleen. So hepatitis is associated with mono. therefore enzyme level will also be raised. Unless a complication like cirrhosis is developed test levels should go to normal with recovery from the infection.
