they are all acute at first...........most won't recur.........they all can cause future problems w/liver esp if ya drink and take drugs or meds...............hep c causes most future problems like failure or cancer

Hepatitis A is the answer. It has an incubation period {time between exposure to the virus and the appearance of symptoms} of approximately a month. During its acute phase the person may feel extremely tired, feverish, with loss of appetite, chills, abdominal pain, moderate to severe diarrhea, rapid weight loss, dark-colored urine {think the color of Coca Cola}, marked jaundice {yellowing of the whites of the eyes and skin}. During this acute phase, which may last from 3 to 8 weeks, the liver becomes inflamed and the hepatic enzymes & bilirubin {both in blood and urine} reach extremely high levels which return to normal after the infection subsides. Hepatitis A is acquired mainly by the "oral-fecal" route; i.e. ingestion of food in which the virus is present {food that's been contaminated by the fecal matter of a person who has the disease}. Once the infection subsides, the person develops immunity, so he/she won't contract the disease again. Nor he/she will suffer future liver damage.
